Dear speakers,
Thank you, again, for being part of the LIDS Smart Urban Infrastructures Workshop! Please take a moment to review the information below, which details what we will need from you prior to the workshop, if possible, as well as day-of-event information.
As always, please do not hesitate to be in touch with any questions.
Best,
Jennifer Donovan
LIDS SUI Workshop Administrative Coordinator
General Information
Session Format:
Each panel will consist of a brief introduction by the session moderator, followed by 15 minute presentations from each speaker, and closing with a 30 minute discussion session – including questions from the audience – that will be facilitated by the session moderator.
Presentations:
All presentations will be pre-loaded onto one laptop, to help minimize transition times between talks. (If you strongly prefer to present from your own laptop, please let us know.)
We are asking that you use PowerPoint for your presentations, if possible, also to help minimize transition times.
Please provide us with your presentations by Wednesday, May 10. They can be uploaded here: https://www.dropbox.com/request/1pEL6htU5NQmadTKwbSU
When You Arrive:
When you arrive at the MIT Media Lab (https://lidssmart2017.mit.edu/location/) please proceed to the 6th floor. You will see the registration desk directly across from you on exiting the elevator.
Please go to the Speaker Check-In area of the registration desk to pick up your badge, receive your speaker packet, and be shown to the reserved seating area in the event space. If you have an updated version of your presentation, you can give it to us at that time, as well.
