Mardavij Roozbehani
Biography
Mardavij Roozbehani is a Principal Research Scientist at the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS) and the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (IDSS) at MIT. He received his PhD in Aeronautic and Astronautics from MIT in 2008. His main research interests include engineering applications of control theory and optimization to large scale infrastructure systems, with emphasis on understanding efficiency, robustness, and risk in energy and transportation networks. His earlier works included developing a control theoretic framework for verification of safety and performance of safety-critical software systems, finite state systems, and embedded systems. His current work also includes extension of these methodologies to analysis of cyber-physical security risk in large-scale networked systems. Dr Roozbehani is a co-recipient of the 2015 SIAM Journal of Control and Optimization best paper award, and a recipient of the 2007 AIAA graduate award for safety verification of real-time software systems.
